Ragdoll Cerberus Illusion King Jami

Jamiroquai Ha-Pa-Zu*SK alias King Jami is the first Ragdoll King at Cerberus Illusion cattery. As soon as his breeder sent me his photo, I knew, a wanted him. This was the WOW male I had been searching for. He mesmerized me at the first sight. Jami was such a cute kitten with hypnotizing eyes, beautiful head, strong bones and with so fluffy coat I was sure he would have extraordinary long hair and really fluffy coat as an adult. He had no faults so he looked like a perfect choice for show and breeding. I was sure the same day as I had been offered him that I wanted this boy.

Selection of the breeder

Ragdoll Cerberus Illusion

It was not so easy to find my first Ragdoll. I had to recognize that many sell kittens with pedigree, but not all of them have knowledge concerning breeding and the breed itself. I know how important it is to take a kitten from someone, who knows the breed, has enough information concerning anatomy, standard, health, character, breeding and who knows what and why he is doing. Only a reputable breeder with relevant knowledge can support you later and advise if needed.

“Why did you wake me up??? To make a photo???”

The breeder of Jami was incredible – he sent me photos, videos and immediately answered ALL my questions! Yes, ALL my questions! Also the difficult ones concerning the breed and breeding which I, as a dog breeder, was asking from another breeder – in this case a cat breeder. Jan was not the first breeder I had been in contact with, but he had the most knowledge! Jan´s exhaustive answers persuaded me I wanted one of his beautiful kittens.

In fact, I liked several his kittens before he offered me Jami. One kitten was nicer than the other. I trusted him that he would offer me the perfect one for show and breeding and Jami was the selected one. I would like to thank him also here for this special boy – Jami is a living GEM (I call him Jami – or GEM).

Character of King Jami

Ragdoll Cerberus Illusion

Same as at the selection of my dogs, the character of my future stud tomcat was much more important for me than just the perfect faultless anatomy. When I received the first videos, I was so happy. As soon as anybody was getting closer to him he started purring. He loved to be cuddled and as a perfect Ragdoll he relaxed his body each time he was picked-up.

King Jami is so noble, cute, communicative, clever, gentle, loving and so beautiful… He is our extraordinary cuddling and purring boy with excellent health.

First day of King Jami in his new kingdom

As soon as I took King Jami home it was clear he found his perfect slave. He was a quiet kitten at his breeder, but when I took him home, evidently I was too silly, so he had to explain plenty of things to me. First evening he was repeating the same thing many-many times. I had a look at him and told him: “Cutie, you came to a dog lady, you can continue repeating the same to me forever, or you can try to explain to me what you want.” I took him into my lap – face to face. Jami continued repeating the same and he started groping my mouth with his front paws. I asked him: “Are you hungry?” – “Yes,” was the right answer.

Learning the cat language

Soon the next explanation followed. The neighbor visited us and Jami started to complain to him. He has a cat and he is already a well trained cat-slave. I told him, I did not know what he wants. Jami was sitting in front of his toilet and kept complaining. The neighbor had a look there, saw a small mound and started smiling. “You must clean his toilet.” I told him: “I cleaned it recently.” He continued: “But there is a small hill, it does not look flat like a Japan garden, so he does not like it.

That is the reason he is complaining. He wants it absolutely flat!” So, I made it as flat as possible and Jami could go to pee. This was the beginning of our life together and since that time we both learnt plenty of things from each other. By the way, for dinner he is trained the same way as my dogs – he must go to his place, sit down and wait till I feed him.

Color

King Jami is a seal (B/B) bicolor boy and carrier of dilution (D/d), so with the right females he might give us colorful kittens.
