Cerberus Illusion Anakim is the firstborn Ragdoll kitten at Cerberus Illusion cattery. He was born as the only kitten of our Queen Candy and King Jami. Both were health tested before breeding in the German Labogen laboratory for over 30 diseases (HCM & PKD included) with negative results (N/N).

Choosing his name

Their firstborn kitten was gigantic. That is the reason why he got his name after a giant breed in the Bible – Anakim. In fact, this name was selected many years ago for my firstborn Cimarron Uruguayo puppy. As everybody immediately repeated his name like “Anakin the Skywalker” I decided to name him simply “Anakin”. But definitely, he was not intentionally named after the film character.

So, seeing the giant kitten, who was a boy, I decided to seize the opportunity and name him “Anakim”. His first photos were made next day after birth.

As he was growing milk fed my his mummy, I saw he would be worthy of his name. He was growing fast.

Mother´s huge love

His mother enjoyed having her first kitten so much 🙂 She loved him very much and was hugging him and kissing him all the time.

Toilette training of Cerberus Illusion Anakim

We had a toilette for adult Ragdolls only. When Anakim was c. 3 weeks old, I wanted to prepare him a lower place, where he can easily walk in and out. It was his mummy who explained me two times that is it not necessary. She simply grabbed it and threw away to tell: “Take it out of here!” So I did and instead I put little Anakim into the toilette after each meal and told him the same command as to my dogs: “Go pee and poo!” A bit later, after he was ready, I took him out. After a couple of days, he could jump out of there. In a week, he was also able to jump into it while the entrance was 15 cm high.

He was approximately 3 weeks old when I first offered him soaked dry cat food. He took it one piece after another from my hand and he really enjoyed it. “Give me more of that tasty thing!”

As his Daddy loved raw meat I tried it as well after a couple of days and definitely, Anakim is son of his father 😀 He loved meat so much. And he still does.

Cerberus Illusion Anakim can answer

During this time I was always talking to Anakim. I do the same with my dogs a some people might think I am crazy, but my dogs understand very much. Not only due to my intonation. They can understand real words. I created several lines of working Cimarron Uruguayo dogs and today I already have the 4th generation, so I know my dogs are clever. But, I have no idea about how smart cats can be.

While I was talking to Cerberus Illusion Anakim, at the age of 3-4 weeks he started to reply. He gave YES/NO answers the same way as my dogs do. It was incredible. If we made joke of him, he got upset and express his disagree also loudly.

Once, my friend hold him in his palm and told: “You are so tiny!” Sure, he was little compared to our adult Ragdolls, but he was 3 weeks old! We did not expect his reaction. He stood up, raised his head high so he could look much bigger as if telling us: “Look, what a big boy I am!”

Next time, he was on the toilette and my friend was joking: “You cannot poo, can you?” Anakim was offended, he shook his head to disagree and yelled: “No, do not make fun of me!”

New family of Cerberus Illusion Anakim

So, let´s continue with the wonderful life of our firstborn kitten. Anakim found his ideal family at the age of 18 weeks. There were over c. 30 people from 6 countries who were interested in him, but the majority wanted him as pet only, so his genetics would be lost forever. I had a clear view of his future family – someone who would like a TOP show cat ready to win and whom he can help in breeding, improving the ladies that are at home. The ideal owner contacted me – living 30 minutes from us. God sent her 🙂 As soon as we started talking I knew I wanted to give my firstborn Prince to her. When they came for him, it was love for the first sight.

Show career of Cerberus Illusion Anakim

At the age of mere 20 weeks, Anakim was presented at a-weekend-show. He got 2x CACP, Nominiert, BIS, BOB, Best of Best II. What do all these shortcuts mean? He was selected as the nicest Ragdoll in his category, he was nominated into BIS and he won it. Later, he was compared with other Ragdolls and he became the best of breed. Finally, the best of breed cats of all races competed together. Anakim was selected as the second nicest cat of the whole show. WOW, the owner could not believe it. I could not believe it either. Sure, I was sure he is a TOP Ragdoll kitten, but winning over all adults at such a young age??? WOW. Also the biggest Hungarian TV made an interview with the 2-legged mummy of Anakim and a couple of days later Anakin appeared on television.

I would like to thank to the honorable judges for thinking so high about our kitten. This was a wonderful feedback for me as breeder. At the same time it was an excellent confirmation that I am able to reveal the most special kittens soon after they are born.
